What is a "Listening Lounge?"
Listening Lounges are small listening parties that take place in a living room somewhere in the Washington DC area each month. At these lounges we listen to audio together and continue an on-going conversation about sound and the value of storytelling, art, noise, expression etc.
You don't have to be a creator of audio to listen with us.
What will I hear when I show up?
You might hear clips from podcasts that have never been published, a story that is being workshopped, an original new composition, found sound from down the street, investigative journalism, family songs, or your neighbors dog barking in rhythm with their stereo. Each month is different and its all dependent on what you and others bring along.
Do I have to bring audio?
Nope. Come out and listen with us. If you'd like to bring audio we ask that you limit the clips to under 6 minutes.
We look forward to listening with you soon!
